"[The] TLSS team have not only been teaching her world class skating skills but also been developing her elite athlete mindset with the passion, commitment, resilience and sportsmanship required to continue to succeed in both skating and life"
Our daughter started with the TLSS coaching team since she was 6 years old just graduated from CanSkate. 8 years later, right after turning 14, she became the 2024 Canadian Junior Women Champion and then proudly brought back to Canada a top 10 finish at the 2024 Junior Worlds in Taipei. Coach Andrew, Coach Paul, Coach Laurisa and the broader TLSS team have not only been teaching her world class skating skills but also been developing her elite athlete mindset with the passion, commitment, resilience and sportsmanship required to continue to succeed in both skating and life. Our daughter’s success is not alone.
Over the years and through ups and downs, we have observed first hand how this team brought out the best of skaters after skates from the grass root level to the podiums with the optimal velocity.
The secret is very simple. Their skating training techniques never stays static, they constantly adjust and adapt and learn from the world’s best. They build rigour, discipline and work habit from regular goal setting, well balanced daily training schedule, to a dynamic homework board for self practice routines. They develop independent and self advocating mature athlete from tying up own shoe lace at early age to open communication with coaches on injuries and training challenges. They emphasize well around athlete development and lead us to quality fitness, ballet, Pilates training as well as Physiotherapy and Sport Psychology support.
Our daughter is very fortunate to have been under the wings of the TLSS coaching team over the past years. It is only a beginning and we are looking forward to her continued success with the guidance by the TLSS coaching team.
